Lexington will host the Holdenville Wolverines for a 7:30 p.m. regular season finale Friday at Floyd West Field.
The Bulldogs are 5-4 overall and 4-2 in district play while the Wolverines are 6-3 overall and 4-2 in district contests.
The winner of the game will finish third in the district behind Kingston and Davis.
Head coach Keith Bolles said his team will use last week’s 48-0 loss at Kingston as a learning experience as they prepare for Holdenville and the state playoffs after that.
“Holdenville is a very good football team,” Bolles said.
“They like to line up in an unconventional offense with 11 people within five yards of the ball and run some right to left.
When the Wolverines are on defense they will base out of a 3-4.
“They like to bring pressure,” Bolles said. “It’s going to be a great challenge for us. We’re looking forward to it.”
Friday night will also be senior night for the Bulldogs. Senior night will begin at 7 p.m.
