Tommy “Bruce” Lee

Funeral services for Tommy “Bruce” Lee, 83, of Alex, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Hawkins Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Hale Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Lee entered Heaven on February 13, 2022.

He was born in Dibble, Oklahoma, on September 2, 1938, to Robert Boyd and Mary Lee Lee. He was the last survivor of nine children.

Bruce graduated from Dibble High School in 1956 and moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, upon graduation where he worked in a machine shop building race car motors for 20 years.

Bruce married the love of his life, Eunice Truevella Meek, on September 30, 1960, in Tabler, Okla., who also graduated from Dibble High School in 1958. He moved his family to the rural farming community in the Dibble/Alex area in 1968 where they operated a dairy farm. He also retired from Western Uniform Company in 2000 after working another 20 years.

Bruce was a true man of God. He raised his family in the Hawkins Free Will Baptist Church and anyone who knew him, knows how much he loved the Lord and how important his family was to him. He was a supportive and loving husband to his wife Eunice and an amazing father to his four daughters. After the tragic loss of Bruce’s brother in an auto accident, he and Eunice along with his sister Shay, accepted guardianship of his nephew Brian Lee who currently still lives next door to Bruce and Eunice.

Bruce leaves behind four daughters, Dana Reed and husband, Ricky, of Dibble, Brenda Hall and husband, Greg, of Norman, Marla Peck and husband, Jeff, of Minco and Nichole Funk of Norman; Brian Lee, nephew of Bruce Lee, and Roger Funk, son-in-law of Bruce Lee.

Bruce was a loving Grandfather to Brianna Harris and husband, Joshua, of Reno, Nevada, Ransom Reed and wife, Evan, of Norman, Sarah Masterson and husband, Blake, of Oklahoma City, Tori Garner and husband, Jeremiah, of Dibble, Aaron Grigg and wife, Morgan, of Broken Arrow, Morgan Funk and Mersades Funk of Norman; and great-grandchildren, Emery, Bentley, Bryson, Braylyn, Ryanne and Reed.

Bruce also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lee; brothers, William “Junior”, Roy and Joe Lee; sisters, Anna Mae Duncan, Wynona Weeks, Bonnie Lee, Hazel Wight and Shay Williams and granddaughter, Kristin Rogers.
