Steven Dale Yeary, age 69, passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on March 13, 2024, in Purcell, Oklahoma. He was born to T. S. (Red) Yeary and Louie Dale (Martin) Yeary on September 7, 1954, in Norman, Oklahoma.
He attended school in Lexington, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 1972. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and granddaughter. He loved the OSU Cowboys and enjoyed wearing his orange, loud and proud. He loved all animals, especially his cats and his rabbits. Steven was a great mechanic and most recently worked in the restaurant industry until his health forced his retirement. He will be dearly missed.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, T. S. (Red) Yeary and Louie Dale (Martin) Yeary; his son, Kevin Yeary; and his brother, Jerry Yeary.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Yeary; his granddaughter, Madyson Yeary; his roommate, Linda McLellan; his brothers, Gregory Yeary and wife, Wanda Yeary, of Norman, Oklahoma; and Tom Yeary and wife, Becky Yeary, of Moore, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are currently planned, but a celebration of life may be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Purcell Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) or an animal shelter or rescue of your choosing.
