Reward offered in Shipley case

Information is still being sought regarding a Goldsby man who has been missing since July 19.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for any information about the disappearance of Bill Dwayne Shipley, 47, according to the McClain County Sheriff’s Office.

Shipley is an out-of-state contract painter who often leaves the state, but his relatives are concerned because they have not heard from him.

“This is out of character for Shipley because he has never left home without informing his family of his whereabouts,” McClain County Sheriff Detective Lt. Dan Huff said.

Both of Shipley’s vehicles were missing. One was recovered from a parking lot of a south Oklahoma City apartment complex.

An industrial ladder was missing from the pickup, along with other items.

A 2002 Chevrolet S-14 extended cab 4x4 pickup is still missing. The pickup is deep red in color and bears Oklahoma license tag FSH 262.

Shipley’s credit card has also been used in the metro area, Huff said.

Investigators are seeking the identification of a person of interest who reportedly used the card.

Shipley is described as five-foot nine-inches, blue eyes and brown hair. His weight was given at 175 to 200 pounds.

If anyone has information, they are asked to contact Huff or detective David Tompkins at the McClain County Sheriff’s Office, 527-2141.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is also taking calls about Shipley at 1-800-522-8017.
