Norma graced this world as the eldest of eight siblings born to Lee and Mildred (Bryant) Hawkins. In 1973, Norma embraced a well-deserved retirement from Western Electric, marking a new chapter as they ventured to Lexington, where they planted their roots until Thurman’s eventual parting.
