Haydens on Region 5 team

Two Heart of Oklahoma basketball players have been recognized by the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches’ Association for their outstanding performance during the 2021-2022 high school basketball season in Region 5.

Hayden Ice of Purcell and Hayden Hicks of Washington were named to the prestigious Region 5 District team.

There are 55 schools in Region 5 and represent all classifications (B-6A).

Teams that comprise Region 5 are Alex, Amber-Pocasset, Ardmore, Blanchard, Bray-Doyle, Bridge Creek, Central High, Chickasha, Comanche, Community Christian, Davis, Dibble, Dickson, Duncan, Elmore City-Pernell, Empire, Fox, Healdton, Lexington, Lindsay, Little Axe, Lone Grove, Marietta, Marlow, Maysville, Minco, Moore, Newcastle, Ninnekah, Noble, Norman, Norman North, OK School for the Deaf, Paoli, Pauls Valley, Plainview, Purcell, Ringling, Rush Springs, Ryan, Southmoore, Springer, Stratford, Sulphur, Thackerville, Turner, Tuttle, Velma-Alma, Verden, Washington, Waurika, Wayne, Westmoore, Wilson and Wynnewood.
