Bryan Leon Faulkenberry died August 12, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years 4 months 14 days. Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Hillside Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Bryan was born March 29, 1963, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to R.C. and Naomi (Bell) Faulkenberry. He spent his formative years in Newcastle, Oklahoma, where he received his education before embarking on life’s journey.

Bryan found love and companionship when he married Shirley Martin on January 25, 1988. Together they built a nurturing home in Norman, Oklahoma. Bryan was no stranger to hard work. He dedicated many years to farming and diligently served local companies as a respected truck driver.

Beyond his vocation, Bryan had a knack for music and could often be found strumming melodies on his guitar. His musical repertoire spanned various genres as he fearlessly explored new artistic horizons. A man of skillful hands and creative vision, Bryan possessed a talent for constructing things and working with wood. Precious moments were spent in his workshop where he would transform raw materials into beautiful creations.

Amidst his pursuits, Bryan found solace in savoring an occasional cup of coffee—a beverage that nestled warmth into his soul. Nature beckoned to Bryan, and he eagerly answered the call. He reveled in the great outdoors and found fulfillment in fishing trips, idyllic days by the lake, and memorable camping adventures. Above all else, Bryan cherished time spent with his family. His grandson, Liam, held a special place in his heart.

Bryan was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Lee Faulkenberry; and his grandparents, Odie Mae Cottrell, Edward Bell and Ruby and Robert Faulkenberry.

Survivors include his parents, R.C and Naomi Faulkenberry; his wife, Shirley Faulkenberry; his children, Jammie Reilley and spouse, Clinton Wood, Justin Faulkenberry, Bryant Faulkenberry and Kody Faulkenberry and spouse, Will Tredway, Jr.; his grandson, Liam Tredway III; his sisters, Rita Wiggins and spouse, Rick, and Melinda Ramsey; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.
