A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Billy J. Kennedy, 77, was held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Kennedy passed away on September 8, 2021.
He was born in Slaton, Texas, on November 18, 1943 and was raised in the Ladd, Wayne, Lexington, and Washington Communities.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force with best friend Teddy Ketner in June of 1962 arriving at Lackland AFB for basic training. Billy was very proud of his time in the Air Force, especially of his assignment to Andrews AFB in 1968 where he was assigned as a refueler for Air Force One during the latter years of President Johnson’s term and the beginning of President Nixon’s term.
Billy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Ladon McCann Kennedy; his beloved daughter, Keta Lavonne Garcia; his father, Parks George Kennedy; his mother, Vera Berneice Kennedy; his brother, Bobby Ray Kennedy and his brother-in-law, Ron Gilley.
He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Gilley and Carolin Kennedy; brother, Charles Kennedy and wife, Carolyn Kennedy; nephews, Charles Kennedy Jr., Gary Gilly, Bobby Kennedy and Mark Sanders; and nieces, Karla Montgomery, Shelly Kennedy, Teresa Loving, Ronda Farrow and Jan Jennings.
