A 12-person McClain County jury found Dennis Michael Campbell not guilty of rape by instrumentation Friday.
Association District Judge Charles Gray presided over the six man, six woman jury.
Campbell, 39 of Wellston, OK, was charged in connection with an incident in Newcastle in November of 2020 involving a 16-year-old female.
The three day trial began February 28 and concluded March 1 with Campbell being released after being exonerated.
The district attorney asked the jury to be polled and they all, one by one, affirmed the verdict was their verdict.
