Lexington’s High School archery team competed at Grand State at the Tulsa fairgrounds on February 21 against the top 30 teams in Oklahoma.

They achieved a huge milestone after five years in the program and have been notified they have qualified to go to the National Tournament in Louisville, Ky in May.

Dax Beason is now a two-time State Champion.

Brooklyn Johnson placed eighth in the high school girls division. She and Dax are both on the list of top 10 male and female archers in Oklahoma and have qualified individually to go to nationals.

The high school archery team will be trying to raise enough money in the next two months to make the trip.

If you would like to donate to the program/trip or would like to be involved please contact Megan Beason at 405-808-8689 for more information.

The junior high team competed at the central state archery tournament February 14 at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds.

The team placed fourth overall.

Reece Beason was crowned State Champion of the middle school division along with Charlie Ross who placed eighth overall middle school girls.

Ross was first in the seventh grade. Hannah Hollar-Willis placed 10th overall middle school girls and fifth in eighth grade. Kambri Henry placed eighth in seventh grade.
