Lacie Jay Jarrel died June 14, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 30 years 8 months 22 days. Funeral Services were 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Lacie was born on September 22, 1993, in Purcell, Oklahoma. to Douglas Jarrel and Tricia Plumlee.
She navigated her formative years with grace and determination in the same town she called home, where she completed her educational journey, a testament to her perseverance and commitment. Known affectionately as “Bird,” a moniker that encapsulated her untamed, free-spirited hippie essence, Lacie exuded true beauty both inside and out. Her infectious laughter resonated with all who crossed her path, weaving a tapestry of friendships that knew no bounds.
A mesmerizing presence at gatherings, she effortlessly entertained with her skillful manipulation of fire sticks and hula hoops, embracing the vibrancy of life wholeheartedly. While Lacie reveled in the role of the fun-loving firecracker, her character ran deep with unwavering loyalty and a resilient spirit akin to that of a warrior.
Yet, beneath her adventurous exterior lay a heart that radiated an immeasurable devotion that touched all who were fortunate enough to be embraced by it and overflowed with love for her family. Lacie’s fire, smile, and loving spirit will live on in the light of her life, her son, Wyatt.
Lacie was preceded in death by her stepfather, Michael “Bubba” Wells; her uncle, Patrick Cain Plumlee; her grandparents, Ira Mitchell Jarell, Patrick Dale Plumlee and Doris Plumlee; and her great-grandparents, SJ and Grace Booker.
Survivors include her son, Wyatt John Armbrister; her mother, Tricia Plumlee and Jason Stewart Sr.; her father, Douglas Jarrel; her siblings, Chantilly Findley, Shaylee Wells, Brandon Wells, Jason Stewart, Levi Stewart, Dillon Lack, Amberly Samples, Ashtin Byrd, Jayden Jarrel and Phoenix Jarrel; her grandmother, Donna Jarrel; her aunts, Cami Jarrel and Karri Hooper; her uncles, Jim Booker and Joseph Wells; her cousins, Alley Duke, Aryan Toth, Jamie Booker and Jeffrey Wells; her nieces, Adeline McDaniel and Sienna McDaniel; the father of her child, Trevor Armbrister; and numerous other family and friends.
