Tuesday morning’s very loud thunderstorm that moved through the area dumped .35” on Purcell.
Thunder and lighting abounded but there was no high winds or hail associated with the storm.
Washington picked up .27” while Byars received .83”, both according to the Oklahoma Mesonet.
That brought Purcell’s year-to-date is 28.52”
This time last year Purcell had measured 30.05”. Oklahoma City has received 29.47” so far this year. The average amount for this year-to-date is 28.20”.
There is additional rainfall predicted in the next few days.
