Accepting donations for Dragon Lunch

Posted

Organizers with the Dragon Lunch Account program are accepting donations as the second semester of the school year comes to an end.

The Dragon Lunch Account program ensures low income students have funds in their school lunch accounts for meals at school.

Donors help children’s  accounts stay current throughout the school year.

“Kids have a hard time focusing at school when they’re hungry,” said Dragon Lunch Account program organizer Jay Tate. “Some kids just need a little extra help with their accounts.”

Money for kids’ accounts are paid at the end of each nine week period and the end of the semester is approaching.

In addition to Tate’s Venmo and Cash App accounts below, donations for the program can also be made to the program’s account at Purcell’s First United Bank.
