A new management agreement with SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital will afford Purcell Municipal Hospital a wide range of management support services to aid the facility in continuing to provide the highest quality of health care to the community.
“Our board is excited about the management agreement between Purcell Municipal Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital,” said PMH Board Chairman David Shirley. “We have had a long-standing relationship between the two entities and now we are looking forward to working together to provide greater access to health care and specialty services.”
The Board selected St. Anthony Hospital because of its commitment to patient satisfaction and exceptional health care. PMH has been an affiliate of the St. Anthony Affiliate Health Network since September 2011.
“We are pleased to enter this enriched relationship with Purcell Municipal Hospital,” Joe Hodges, regional president of SSM Health Oklahoma, said. “With the construction of the new hospital, it is an exciting time to partner with Purcell as we work together to improve the health of the community.”
SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in downtown Oklahoma City has served the needs of Oklahomans for more than 121 years.
It is part of SSM Health Oklahoma which also includes Bone & Joint Hospital at St. Anthony, St. Anthony South and SSM Health Outpatient Center, all in Oklahoma City; St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Midwest City.
The SSM Health network in Oklahoma also includes four SSM Health St. Anthony Healthplex campuses and a community freestanding emergency room in El Reno and 16 affiliated hospitals..
In addition, SSM Health Medical Group has nearly 300 physicians and providers.
Purcell Municipal Hospital has been serving the community since October 1970. The 39-bed hospital is committed to enrich health and lives through individualized, compassionate and exceptional care.
