Weather postpones council meeting

Due to the predicted enhanced risk for severe weather Monday, Purcell’s City Council meeting that night was postponed to Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Among items on the agenda are electing a Mayor and Vice Mayor for coming year.

In the Purcell Public Works Authority portion of the meeting a Chairman and Vice Chairman were to be voted on.

Among other items on the agendas was appointing Danielle Finch to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, voting to approve updating the emergency sirens, a mower for the cemetery, surplus police vehicles, 4th Avenue paving project, approving funding for an electrical contract with CEC in connection with the I-35 interchange project and paying for a new water pump.

The council was scheduled to hear quarterly reports from both Wadley’s EMS and the Purcell Municipal Hospital.
