A Celebration of Life for Makayla Fay Meave-Byers, 30, of Macomb will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Landmark Church in Purcell. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mrs. Meave-Byers passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
Makayla was born June 15, 1993 in Oklahoma City to Michael Kevin Downs and Barbara Sue (Ezell) Harper. She was raised in Lexington where she attended school, graduating with the Bulldog Class of 2011.
Makayla was a vibrant soul; she loved music and singing and always had a song on her heart. She was the proud mother of Adriean, Brian, Daisy, Lily, Chloe and Zoe. Makayla had a tender heart; she was very caring and loving to children and to animals.
She had a passion for teaching, and was pursuing her teaching degree. Makayla was currently employed as a Para at Macomb Public Schools and was actively involved in the afterschool program. Makayla loved life, her family, friends and her Lord. She left us too soon, but we know we will one day see her again!
She is survived by her husband, Frank Byers and children, Daisy, Lily, Chloe and Zoe of the home; daughter, Adriean Vinson of Slaughterville; son, Brian Vinson of Purcell; parents, Barbara Harper and husband, Scott, of Noble and Michael Downs and wife, Sonja, of Midwest City; sisters, Andria Meave of Norman and Magan Degraffenried and husband, Tommy, of Norman; nieces and nephews, Hunter Voelker, Connor Voelker, TJ Degraffenried, Tyson Degraffenried and CoCo Degraffenried and a host of other family and friends.
