In the wake of the FEMA grant for a new gymnasium and safe room at the junior high, Purcell’s Board of Education met last Wednesday at the administration building about that project and others.
“We basically met with the architect and construction manager,” said Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo.
“We talked about a number of project we have on the board and looked into passing a small bond to go with the FEMA grant,” Dr. McAdoo said.
No action was taken on that but the board did hire three new elementary teachers for next year.
