Boston Knowles and Kash Knowles were among only 50 baseball players selected from across the nation for the 2025 Native American All-Star Showcase in June in Atlanta, Georgia.
The players were recognized as two of the top 50 high school baseball players in Indian Country.
Boston Knowles graduated from Purcell High School in May and will be playing baseball on scholarship at Murray State College.
Kash Knowles will be a junior at Purcell High School.
The players were coached by former MLB players and coaches at the event, which was hosted by the Atlanta Braves.
They worked with coaches to prepare for games, went through positional skill drills and learned leadership lessons by hearing from community leaders and participating in workshops.
The showcase is in its fourth year and featured 50 players with Native American descent at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
There were 31 tribes represented from 22 states and Canada.
Braves alumni such as Jerome Walton, Johnny Estrada, Julio Franco, Pete Smith and Terry Harper coached the teams.
