It’s that time of year!

McClain County Operation Christmas applications are now available.

The deadline to apply is November 25.

Applicants must be McClain County residents, meet income guidelines and the application must be completed in full. The application should be returned to Delta Community Action, 122 W. Main, in Purcell.

Peggy Christian said applications are available at the Purcell Public Library, The Purcell Register, the McClain County Health Department and the OSU Extension Office in Purcell.

Applications are also available at the senior citizens centers in Purcell, Newcastle, Wayne, Byars, Dibble, Washington and Rosedale.

Christian is also calling for volunteers to work organizing the gifts and food baskets.

Donations of toys, clothing, toiletries, books, school supplies and more are currently being accepted, she added.

There are donation boxes at Dollar General in Purcell and Newcastle, Family Dollar in Wayne and The Purcell Register. More collection boxes will be added as the program gets in full swing.

And as always, McClain County Operation Christmas accepts monetary donations.

Monetary donations may be sent to Darrell Ford at P.O. Box 756, Purcell, OK 73080.

To volunteer call Mrs. Christian at 405-990-4001 or Gale Wilson at 405-250-8316.
