Jeramy Willis Skinner died unexpectedly September 11, 2023, in Lexington, Oklahoma, at the age of 36 years 1 month 7 days.  Graveside services were held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Jeramy began his life’s journey on August 4, 1987, in Hearne, Texas. He was one of the beloved children of Danny and Barbara (Simmons) Skinner. Raised in Lexington, Jeramy embraced the values instilled in him during his upbringing and went on to graduate around 2005.

His spiritual journey led him to be baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Brother David Sloate. Jeramy delighted in singing hymns alongside his fellow worshippers and cherished the time spent with his brethren.

In addition to his devotion to his faith community, Jeramy found solace in various hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. An avid outdoorsman, he reveled in the pursuit of hunting and fishing — passions that allowed him to connect with nature’s beauty. Furthermore, Jeramy possessed a skill for carpentry that he honed over time.

Jeramy was preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Barbara Skinner; his sisters, Lisa Sanders and Heather Reeves; his nephews, Russell Reeves and Austin Sanders; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include his siblings, Cher Hayles and husband, Keith, of Lexington, Cristy Barnes and husband, Yancy, of Lexington, Billy Skinner and wife, Brandy, of Lexington, Danny Skinner Jr. of Wayne, David Skinner and wife, Jennifer, of Lexington, Larry Skinner of New Jersey, Jesika Skinner of Norman and Billy Skinner Jr. of Wayne; his 30 nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
