Funeral services for Glenda Kay Herell, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at McMahans Funeral Home, 616 S. 8th St., in Noble. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery under the direction of McMahans Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at McMahans Funeral Home.

Glenda Kay Herell was born to Glen and Bernice (Whitaker) Miller on October 23, 1942 at their home in Wanette, Okla. She was called home on November 25, 2023 at the age of 81 years.

Glenda made her home in Lexington, Okla., in 1970 moving from Noble. She attended school in Oilton, Texas. On April 14, 1964 she married the love of her life Jackie Don Herell. They were married for 59 years.

Glenda was employed with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for 30 years until her retirement, she began her career in the accounting department before managing the canteen.

Glenda loved to garden, every year she would raise and tend a huge garden at her home raising all sorts of veggies. She enjoyed reading a good book, spending time with family and trail riding with her family. Rodeo was a huge part of her life as she was her kids’ and husband’s biggest fan, traveling to all of the rodeos and playdays cheering them on and making sure they had everything they needed.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jerry Miller.

She is survived by her husband Jack of the home, three sons, Danny Herell and wife, Marsha, of Lexington, Jimmi Herell and wife, Rhoni, of Enid and Jason Herell and wife, Alicia, of Heavner, Okla.; one sister, Rosalee Woodley of Texas; sister-in-law, Nancy Goodpasture and husband, Martin, of Texas; seven grandchildren, Josh Herell, Kenny Herell, Colten Herell and wife, Kelsey, Logan Herell, Mackenzie Herell, Raelyn Herell and Luke Herell; two great-grandchildren, Daxten Clyde Herell and Mason Ray Hammock, along with many other relatives and friends.
