Delberta Pauline Hulsey died April 2, 2023, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years 4 months 27 days. Memorial Services were held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Landmark Church, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at www.wadleysfuneralservice.com.

Pauline was born November 7, 1928, in Hickory, Oklahoma to Charles and Intha (Ritcheson) Holloway. She was raised in the Claremore area, graduating in 1946. Pauline continued her education at the Draughn Business School.

She met the love of her life in 1939 at the age of 11,  but were separated until 1947 when Vernard came home from the Army.  On March 19, 1948, Pauline and Vernard Wayne Hulsey were united in marriage. They celebrated 62 years together before Vernard passed in 2010. They made their home in Northeastern Oklahoma all Pauline’s life, but relocated to Purcell four years ago to be close to her daughter Pauletta.

Pauline enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and volunteering with her church and the local library.  She helped at the Blue House Clothes Closet and was often times found dressed as Mrs. Claus or the Easter Bunny for the Library.

Pauline was very active in her church and helping with the children and youth. She was a member to the Order of Eastern Star, Spavinaw First Baptist Church, and more recently Landmark Church. Pauline loved spending time with her family at every opportunity.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Intha Holloway; her husband, Vernard Wayne Hulsey; her great-granddaughter, Shyloh Parker; her sisters, Naomi Cates and husband, Bert, and Virginia Coleman and husband, Bill; her brother, Dee Holloway; and a sister-in-law, Lahoma Holloway.

Survivors include her daughter, Pauletta Price and husband, Richard, and Patricia Parker and husband, Paul; her grandchildren, Justin Morgan, Wesley Parker, Amanda Markey and husband, TJ, and David Parker and wife, Destiny; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, Howard Holloway and wife, Lorna; and her sister, Maxine Layton; and numerous other relatives and friends.
