Last Friday’s deluge dumped 1.5” of rain in the heart of Purcell hiking the season total here for the year to 18.35” compared to Oklahoma City with 18.45” in the bucket.
The storm mirrored a tropical depression with fierce winds and heavy, heavy rainfall limiting visibility.
The normal for the year-to-date is 18.18”.
This time last year, Purcell had received an even 26” while Oklahoma City was holding at 16.10”.
Additional rain is predicted for Saturday through next Tuesday.
