ORDINANCE NO. 2025-1-13-2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF COLE, OKLAHOMA, AMENDING SECTION 1-13(1) OF ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER 1, TOWN OF COLE CODE OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED “TOWN BOARD MEETINGS” BY AMENDING SUBPARAGRAPH (1) OF SUCH SECTION, PROVIDING FOR THE DATE AND TIME OF THE TOWN OF TRUSTEE REGULAR SCHEDULED BOARD MEETINGS TO BEGIN AT 6:30 O’CLOCK P.M. ON THE SECOND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH; LEAVING ALL OTHER LANGUAGE IN SECTION 1-13 UNCHANGED; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR REPEALER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF COLE, OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1: That Subparagraph (1) of Section 1-13 of Article 2 of Chapter 1 of the Town of Cole Code of Ordinances is hereby amended and shall, from and after the effective date of this Ordinance, read as follows:
Section 1-13. Town Board Meetings.
A. Municipal business shall be conducted at regularly-scheduled open and public meetings held in the Town Hall, or another agreed upon place which is open to the public, on the second Thursday of each month, or in the event of a conflict with a holiday, then the next following Thursday which is not a holiday, beginning at 6:30 o’clock p.m.
SECTION 2. That the remaining language of 1-13 of Article 2 of Chapter 1 of the Town of Cole Code of Ordinances shall remain unchanged by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
