The Lexington Lady Bulldogs canceled their trip to Jones on Monday due to the excessive heat. That district matchup is rescheduled for August 30 at 3 p.m.

They will be in the Roff tournament starting today (Thursday). They play Madill at 5 p.m.

Late last week, Lexington played in the Murray County Bash and came up short in three of their four games.

The Lady ‘Dawgs lost an extra-inning game with Sulphur, 9-8. Then had another heartbreaker in a 5-4 loss to Davis.

Their third game was a 10-1 loss to Latta.

Lexington finished off their tournament with a commanding 9-0 win over Wynnewood.

They got off to a strong start, scoring five runs in the first inning. They added one run each in the second and third innings then notched two insurance runs in the fourth.

The Lady ‘Dawgs finished the game with four hits, one each from Mackenzie Manuel, Kiely Givens, Kora Parker and Jocelyn Senn.

Givens, Parker and Senn also had one RBI apiece.
