Donald Trump has been declared the new President-Elect of the United States with a decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
In McClain County, Trump won 16,980 to 4,021.
Fourth District Congressman Tom Cole was re-elected to another term with a 16,350-3,444 margin in McClain County alone.
State-wide, he won 199,784-86,568 over Mary Brannon.
Voters went with Kendal Sacchieri for State Senate District 43 over Sam Graefe 30,013 to 7,271.
Voters favored Jonathan Wilk for State Representative District 20 over Mitchell Jacob 14,153 to 4,524.
Brian Bingman was the choice for corporation commission.
“I am grateful and humbled by the opportunity to represent the citizens of House District 20,” Wilk said. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work in the people’s house for the people.”
Since a person cannot hold two offices at the same time, Sacchieri will have to resign as McClain County Assessor to become State Senator.
County Commissioners will appoint a new Assessor.
“I am honored to be elected to serve the people and last night’s numbers were clear that conservative values are alive and well in SD 43,” Sacchieri said.
“I will be a warrior for limited government and maximum freedom for Oklahomans. Thank you to everyone who cast their vote for me. I praise God for the opportunity to serve you, and I’m excited to get to work defending the blessings of liberty and prosperity,” she concluded.
Voters said no to SQ 833 (897,750-559,360) but voted in favor of SQ 834 (1,206,370 to 287,971).
All three Supreme Court Justices went down in flames in McClain County. Statewide, Yvonne Kauger was ousted as a Justice while James Edmondson and Noma Gurich were both retained by voters.
