Girls Staters address Rotary

Both of Purcell’s delegates to Oklahoma Girls State spoke at Rotary last Wednesday telling about their experiences at the week-long event.

Both Karlee Tolle and Gracie Pruitt reported their favorite speaker for the week was former governor George Nigh, who has been speaking to Girls and Boys Staters for over 70 years.

Tolle is the daughter of Mike and Amy Tolle. She was elected Party Chair for the Boomer party and was a Court of Appeals Judge. Her city was Akin City.

She is an officer in Student Council, a member and officer of the National Honor Society, a member of Key Club, served on the Prom Committee and is in the Top 10 Percent.

Tolle has earned a Letter P Award, is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, played tennis, basketball and is in Spanish Club. She has volunteered, passed out Halloween candy, assisted at the Rotary booth for the HOOT, is a leadership class volunteer at the animal shelter and has participated in Road Week. She attended RYLA this past year.

A member of the Sooner Party at Girls State, Pruitt was a State Senator while there and lived in Chisholm City.

She is the daughter of Jason and Melissa Pruitt.

Pruitt served as the junior class Vice President, is on the Student Council and Executive Council, a member and officer of the National Honor Society and is in Key Club.

Pruitt is in Spanish Club, served on the Prom Committee, is a cheerleader, ran track and cross country, plays softball, basketball, earned a Letter P Award, is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and is in the Top 10 Percent of the class.

She has volunteered, participated in the Tacky Sweater 5 K, Elementary Cross Country, Haunt the Trail, Little Cheer camps, Road Week and Operation Christmas.
