Two of Wayne’s games last week were canceled and their lone game was a 12-0 run-rule win over Springer on Tuesday.

Head coach Nikki Herrin was pleased to give some of her nonstarters in-game experience.

“We have a lot of girls on the bench who have what it takes,” Herrin said.

Wayne finished the win with nine hits. Karsen Adams, Lily Whitaker and Addison Clagg each had two. Ashley Hayles, Taelyn Ringwald and Madi Sharp had one.

Ringwald added two ribbies and Smith and Whitaker had one apiece.

The Lady Bulldogs created chaos on the basepaths with 25 stolen bases.

Clagg was in the circle for the win. She struck out four batters and gave up two walks.

Wayne was scheduled to host Velma on Tuesday and Allen on Thursday.

They will finish out their four game homestand hosting AmPo on Monday and Rush Springs on Tuesday.
