First rain since mid-November

The Heart of Oklahoma’s first rain since November 19 fell over night and in the wee hours of December 15 when .85” of rain fell here.

Washington recorded .87” on the mesonet while Byars checked in at .61”.

That .85” gives Purcell 36.92” for the year compared to 35.55” at Will Rogers World Airport.

The normal year-to-date total for this area is 35.43. This time last year Purcell had recorded 38.32”.
