Council approves severance package with Sam Demel

Posted

Purcell’s City Council approved a severance package with Sam Demel at the regular November meeting at the Community Room of the Purcell Police Service Building Monday night.

They also voted to raise Bobby Elmore’s pay by $500 per week while he serves as both police chief and interim city manager.

The board voted to hire Crawford and Associates to do the city’s accounting work until a new city treasurer is hired.

The city approved a contract with the Purcell School System for a School Resource Officer and moved a decision on matching TSET grant funds in the amount of $40,000 for the Purcell Park grounds and volleyball court to a special meeting.

Audits for the hospital and city were both reported as satisfactory and approved.
