40 floats have entered annual event with more coming

Posted

Chamber Executive Director Elisabeth Baker reports she has 40 floats already registered for the Annual Christmas Parade in downtown Purcell December 14 at 6 p.m.

“There is still time for more,” Baker said.

Another attraction this year will be an appearance by the Purcell Dragon Pride Band, who will be playing Christmas music.

There will be a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at the caboose prior to the main event that will feature an appearance of Santa Claus.

This year’s theme is “Anything Christmas in the Heartland.”

After the parade everyone is encouraged to drive out to the City Lake and take in the Lights from the Heart.
