Burglaries investigated

Purcell Police were called to Kesslers Transmission just after 4 a.m. December 8 to investigate a prowler on the premises on camera.

Thanks to the camera police had a description of the suspect they said to be about 20-years-old, light brown complexion and black hair wearing jeans and a blue hoodie and white shoes.

The suspect, who was not identified, was located driving a side-by-side in the 1600 block of South Green Avenue. He was detained by police while they waited for Lighthorse Police to arrive since the suspect said he was Cheyenne-Arapahoe.

Officers discovered a vehicle was damaged in the parking lot of Jacobson Concrete like someone was trying to break into the Black Ford Mustang as well as two concrete log book tablets ripped from the mounts and were on the ground on the driver’s side of each truck.

Officers discovered M&M Mowers had also been burglarized.

While waiting on Lighthorse officers Purcell officers noticed two chain saws, a money bag and a lawn mower in the back of the side-by-side.

Owners of M&M reclaimed the property that was taken from their building and the investigation was turned over to Lighthorse.
