Graveside services for Boyd Miles McCormack, 93, of Purcell and formerly of Oklahoma City were held Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. McCormack passed away November 1, 2026. Born on December 13, 1932 in Sardis, Oklahoma to Theodore Pete McCormack and Ellen Pearl (Jones) Moore. Boyd was raised at Sardis and attended school there, graduating in 1949.
He married young, to Frances Janetta Carter. They made their home in Oklahoma City where they raised five daughters, Janetta, Karen, Vicky, Rita and Becky.
He was a hard worker and a great provider. Boyd managed Harbor’s Gas Station in Enid and drove a truck. Regardless of where he worked he stayed busy. He retired from Clements Foods Company in Oklahoma City after 20 years of dedicated service.
Away from work, Boyd enjoyed being outdoors, probably fishing or golfing. He was an avid bowler and bowled league for many years. And if you asked him, he would fondly share about his perfect game.
Boyd was a man of great faith; the best father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dr. Anthony Morris, his wife, Frances McCormack; daughters Janetta and Karen; his parents, Pete and Pearl McCormack and siblings, Dottie, Jay, Jack and Thad.
He is survived by daughters, Vicky Morris and husband John of Purcell, Rita McCormack of Houston and Beck McMillian and husband Kevin of Newalla. Two sisters, Mary and Charlotte and grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Jeremy and Jamie, several great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
