Just when you think you’ve heard everything another ludicrous idea comes from the White House.

The latest in you’re-not-going-to-believe-this is the Biden administration is considering paying illegal immigrants who were separated at the border from their families under the Trump administration $450,000 each.

That’s money paid by legal citizens, taxpayers, in this country that would be going to people who broke the law crossing the border.

The Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though final payment amounts could change as some families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances.

Paying thousands of dollars to individuals and families that unlawfully entered the United States would not only reward criminal behavior, but also send a message our borders are open and we will not follow the rule of law.

Would this be the beginning of the end for American capitalism?

When people who are “entitled” are rewarded more than the ones who engage in  thousands of hours of labor and produce millions of dollars of goods, there’s no longer an incentive to produce anything.

The rationale for this egregious abuse of taxpayer dollars is to compensate these persons for ‘lasting psychological trauma.’

Do, however, note these persons crossed into our country in a knowingly illegal manner, fully aware of the consequences of violating our rule of law.

If these taxpayer funds are paid to illegal immigrants what would stop others from different nations from trying to do the same thing?

Get paid for breaking the law. It’s not enough they get free medical care and don’t pay any taxes.

Yet they are getting paid by our government.

When you consider what an abhorrent idea it is, remember what the average median American household annual income.

It is $68,703.

And the maximum payout from a Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance policy for military members is $400,000.
