5 questions with Brad Beller

Posted

Editor’s note: Answering  The Purcell Register’s five questions this week is Brad Beller,  head football coach for the defending State Champion Washington Warriors. Q. When did you decide or what prompted you to get into education and coaching?

A. I decided that I wanted to coach when I started school ball in 6th grade. I saw the impact that coaches had on young men and how much passion they had for the game.

Q. Who was your mentor?

A. Coach McCray. He was my head coach in high school and he gave me my first shot in the coaching world.

Q. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

A. The most challenging part of my job is making sure that I’m always looking at the process and not just the result of a single game.

Q. What is the most gratifying part of your job?

A.  Seeing a young man use what they have learned in football and applying it to their lives.

Q. How exciting was it to win the Gold Ball?

A. The most exciting part was seeing the community flood onto the field and celebrate a win that the team had worked so hard for. The sacrifice and work of the teams from the past and all the hard work of the 2022 team made that moment special.
