Coronation ceremony begins at 6 p.m.

Wayne’s 2025 homecoming coronation will be held Friday night at 6 p.m. when the Bulldogs host the Stratford Bulldogs.

Queen candidates include Brysten Shephard, Addison Keeler, Elizabeth Bunner and Madilyn Sharp.

King candidates include Adolfo Vazquez, Jaxon Dill, Lukas Pack, Kody Kern and Ty Kemp.

The crown bearer is Cooper Mallett while Ava Kay Martin will serve as the flower girl.

Shephard is the daughter of Dan and Misty Shephard and Krystal and Casey Marlow. She is involved in basketball, book club, NHS, StuCo and 4-H. Her honors include Principal’s Honor Roll.

Keeler is the daughter of Brian and Jennifer Keeler. She is involved in basketball, softball, NHS, book club and Student Council. She is the vice president of FFA, class vice president and top ten in her class. Her honors include Superintendent’s Honor Roll, rebounder of the year in basketball, most improved player in softball, softball All-Conference, athlete of the month and student of the month. She maintains a 4.0 GPA.

Bunner is the daughter of Matthew and Tammetha Bunner. She is involved in basketball, softball, book club and National Honor Society. Her honors include Superintendent’s Honor Roll, top ten, student of the month, athlete of the month, Bulldog Pride award, 2nd place in State in photographic technology, top in her class in Algebra II and she maintains a 4.0 GPA.

Sharp is the daughter of Brian and Julie Sharp and Lindsey and Mac Baker. She is involved in basketball, StuCo, NHS and book club. Her honors include two-time defense player of the year and most improved in fast-pitch softball.

Vazquez is the son of Maria and Jose Vazquez. He is involved in basketball, football, baseball and student council. His  honors include Principal’s and Superintendent’s Honor Rolls, player of the week, Purcell Register Player of the Week, athlete of the month and defensive player of the year. 

Dill is the son of Bradley and Ashley Dill. He is involved in football, basketball, baseball, FFA and FCA. His honors include football MVP, baseball MVP, offensive player of the year in basketball, two-time Vype athlete, 1000 point club, Sentinel of FFA, senior class president and senior class favorite. He is also the male player point record holder at Wayne.

Pack is the son of Kasidi Pack and Chris Pack. He is involved in basketball, band and E-sports. His honors include Principal’s Honor Roll, Superintendent’s Honor Roll, Jason Bridwell Band member of the month and E-sports MVP.

Kern is the son of Kayla Kern and Scotty Richardson. He is involved in basketball, football, baseball, StuCo and FCA. He was honored as the player of the week two times.

Kemp is the son of Kelsie Brakefield and Joey Kemp. He is involved in basketball, baseball, NHS, StuCo, book club, and concurrent classes at OCCC. His honors include Principal’s Honor Roll, defensive player of the year, Vype 100, Binger All-tournament team and Graham-Dustin All-tournament team.

The flower girl is Ava Kay Martin. She is the five year old daughter of Joe and Arran Martin. She is in Mrs. Lyles’ kindergarten class. She enjoys playing softball, going to the lake and hanging out with her sisters and her friends.

The crown bearer is Cooper Mallett. He is the five year old son of George and Whitney Mallet. He is in Mrs. Patton’s kindergarten class. Cooper loves Pokemon, hanging out with his three brothers, and playing soccer and basketball. He wants to be an engineer when he grows up, like his dad.
