The public is invited to come together this Sunday, May 3, for the first-ever AWOL (A Week of Love) Food Truck Competition, hosted by Washington STUCO, at Washington Public Schools.

The AWOL Community Kickoff will take place from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at the school’s gymnatorium and parking lot, located at 101 E. Kirby in Washington.

The event promises an afternoon filled with great food, live entertainment and community support for Greyson Williams.

Families and friends are encouraged to attend this special fundraiser, where there will be no entry fee, though donations are encouraged to support Baby Greyson and his family.

Attendees can enjoy live performances throughout the afternoon from Justin Fox, Backfire Band, Emily Rhyne & the Oklahoma Legacy Band, and The Cody Sirk Quintet.

A variety of food trucks will compete for the title of 2026 Fan Favorite, including Full Belly Kitchens BBQ, Gettin’ Smash’d Smash Burgers & Philly Steaks, Heff’s Fish & Q, El Unico Taco Truck, Dippin’ Dots, Tacos Parra, Kona Ice, Carnival Eats & Treats, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee and The Southern Dough Co.

Guests can order food from the vendors outside, then head indoors to enjoy the music and festivities. A playground and yard games will also be open, weather permitting, making the event fun for all ages.

Community members will have the chance to vote for their favorite food truck and help crown the 2026 AWOL Food Truck Competition winner.

This exciting event offers a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food, support local vendors, and most importantly, rally behind Baby Greyson in a meaningful show of community spirit.

Greyson Williams is the infant son of Breann “Breezy” Lanham Williams and Joe Williams.

Greyson, who was born Aug. 6, 2025, was born with a rare congenital condition called Moebius Syndrome, a form of facial paralysis caused by underdevelopment of the cranial nerves that control facial expression and eye movement. Moebius Syndrome affects only approximately 7,000 births worldwide.

Greyson’s care requires a team of specialists, including neurologists, ophthalmologists, plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, speech therapists, and physical therapists. His future will include ongoing hospital stays, therapies, specialized equipment, and potential surgeries—all essential to giving him the best quality of life possible.

For more than two decades, AWOL has been a catalyst of hope, helping families cover costs for therapies, treatments not covered by insurance, medical equipment, and essential needs. This year, our mission is to ensure Greyson is given every opportunity to thrive and become the best version of himself.
