Wayne School patrons passed both bond issues that were on the February 14 ballot.

Voters approved proposition No. 1, an $850,000 bond, by a margin of 134 (69.43 percent) to 59 (30.57 percent).

That is for enhancing security improvements and renovations and repairs to buildings district-wide.

Proposition No. 2 was a bond of $220,000 to replace current high mileage buses.

That measure passed 148 (76.29 percent) to 46 (23.71 percent).

Superintendent Toby Ringwald expressed his appreciation to supporters.

“As a district, we are always appreciative when the community shows its continued support for our students,” Ringwald said.

“The passing of this bond will allow us to complete the next phase of much-needed renovations to our buildings and campus.”
