Four Burlington Northern railroad cars derailed from tracks at the Jefferson Street point on January 11 at 2:45 a.m.
They were reported to be transporting alcohol and hazardous materials. However, Burlington’s specialized hazardous materials team, from the scene, said the containers remained intact and there was no danger to the public and no one was injured.
Cleanup operations began immediately and was set to be completed by the following day.
