Stitt highly questionable

Posted

There’s not a question as to whether or not Gov. Kevin Stitt fabricates the truth.

My question is, when is he telling the truth?

The Swadley’s Foggy Bottom scandal was on his watch.

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department decided to terminate its contract with the restaurant chain following corruption and fraud allegations.

Trying to distance himself from the situation, Stitt said he didn’t know Foggy Bottom owner Brent Swadley.

Oddly, the governor must have fallen asleep when he posed for a picture with Swadley.

That photograph was widely circulated putting a huge crack in Stitt’s story.

Here’s another one: U.S. Department of Education auditors recommended clawing back more than $650,000 in misspent federal coronavirus relief funds from Stitt and reviewing an additional $5.5 million in purchases, according to a federal audit released last week.

The questioned spending came from Stitt’s Bridge the Gap Digital Wallet program, which gave $1,500 grants to low-income families for educational purchases like computers and school supplies during the pandemic.

Auditors pinpointed questionable expenditures like arcade games, Christmas trees, smart watches, sofas, televisions and refrigerators totaling $652,720.

And most recently Stitt, who is a private school proponent, kept Epic School from having its accreditation status downgraded back in 2020.

State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister had urged the Oklahoma State Board of Education to do so but Stitt’s chief of staff was instructed to have Hofmeister call off the dogs just days prior to the scheduled meeting date.

Epic Charter School has a long history of fraudulent and corrupt practices.

Why Stitt or anyone else would come to their aid is highly questionable.

Stitt is highly questionable.
