Three Heart of Oklahoma superintendents reported they will stay the course with respect to Ryan Walters’ mandate on Bibles being used in classrooms.
The mandate by the wacky State Superintendent could be headed for the courtroom, but only time will tell.
Purcell, Washington and Lexington will continue into the future as they have been in the past, while Wayne Superintendent Dr. Toby Ringwald could not be reached for comment.
Purcell Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo, “We will continue to follow the Oklahoma Academic Standards & Assessments as adopted.”
Washington Superintendent Chris Reynolds, “Faith plays a crucial role in our community and Biblical history holds significant value. Washington Schools will continue to teach the Oklahoma Education Standards, including Biblical history where appropriate.”
Lexington Superintendent Chad Hall said, “An individual’s faith is important. Biblical history is not unimportant. Lexington Schools will continue to focus on teaching and learning while leaving room for communities and courts to decide if politically driven mandates are worthy of discussion.”
