The underside of the railway bridge over State Highway 59 was struck last October by a passing vehicle. State Highway 59 was narrowed to one lane and eventually closed as crews inspected the damage to the bridge. The driver of the vehicle that struck the bridge left the scene before authorities could identify anyone. Now, eastbound and westbound SH-59 will be narrowed to one lane and controlled by traffic signals just east of US-77 from 8 a.m. Monday through the end of July for repairs by BNSF to the bridge.
