Mike Zuech was named Great Plains Area Special Olympics Athlete of the Year for his Special Olympics team, Heart of Oklahoma, at a track meet in Lawton April 5.
He has been in Special Olympics for 18 years and participates in seven sports with basketball being his favorite.
Mike is the son of Louis and Mary Zuech and is a 2014 graduate of Purcell High School. He is pictured with his coach, Amy Underhill.
