Purcell Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo reviewed the annual audit and reported to the board auditors gave the district a clean audit.
“They praised the team’s performance and attention to detail,” Dr. McAdoo said. “He relayed our district is in great shape financially.”
“They were very, very complimentary and didn’t even have any minor issue that required us to be aware of,” she said.
Board members discussed the policy CW for Naming New Facilities and the process used for naming facilities but took no formal action.
Board members voted approval to allocate $5,000 to the Teacher Apprenticeship Program.
They also had an executive session but no formal action was taken once they returned to open session.
The superintendent said the current building projects are, “moving right along.”
“The only interruption is at the Intermediate building where ONG is going to have to move a line before they can continue,” Dr. McAdoo said.
Dirt work is underway at the new parking lot north of the junior high and construction crews are starting the work on the exterior of the FEMA safe rooms.
“It’s starting to look more like a gym,” she said.
The new gymnasium and rooms at the Intermediate School and Elementary School will be ready for the 2026-27 school term, she reported.
