Preliminary held for Moody

Judge Lee Schilling presided over a preliminary last week for Steven Moody, charged with murder in the first degree with deliberate intent in the death of his wife, Margarita Moody.

At the preliminary hearing exhibits were accepted into evidence and probable cause for the act was confirmed.

Moody is charged in connection with the death of Margarita February 5, 2021.

A formal arraignment date was set for February 2 at 9 a.m.

Schilling ruled that Moody should remain in custody without bond in the McClain County Detention Center.
