Online portal now live to pre-register for COVID-19 vaccine

Posted

The Oklahoma State Department of Health has launched an online portal for Oklahomans to pre-register for their COVID-19 vaccines.

Residents who are eligible for the vaccine will be notified beginning Thursday to schedule their appointment.

Currently eligible residents include health care workers, first responders and Oklahomans age 65 or older.

The website is vaccinate.oklahoma.gov.

Users will be walked through a series of questions asking for personal information to determine when they will be eligible for the shot.

They will be contacted through email when they can schedule the first dose.

“We know Oklahomans are eager to find out when and where they can get the vaccine, and we’re thankful for their patience as our team quickly works to develop innovative solutions,” Health Commissioner Dr. Lance Frye said in a news release. “We’re hopeful that the launch of this portal will ease confusion and create a seamless experience for all Oklahomans.”

COVID-19 vaccines require two doses, spaced weeks apart.

Residents who don’t want to sign up through the online portal can call their county health department to schedule a vaccination.

The McClain County Health Department telephone number is 405-485-3319.
