NOTICE OF FIRST SPECIAL TOWN MEETING ELECTION

OF THE TOWN OF SELAH, OKLAHOMA

July 13, 2026 at 6:30PM

NOTICE is hereby given, by publication and by posting, that an election under the Oklahoma Town Meeting Act, 11 O.S. § 16-301, et seq., will be conducted at a meeting to be held at 6:30 PM on July 13, 2026, to conduct officer elections in accordance with the Order of Incorporation of the Town of Selah, Oklahoma (the “Town”), issued by the Board of County Commissioners of McClain County on June 29, 2026.  The following offices will be filled for partial terms ending at the conclusion of the Biennial Town Meeting election to be held on April 6, 2027:

• Town Board of Trustees - Trustee Positions 1, 2 & 3;
• Town Clerk;
• Town Treasurer. 

All Town officer positions are non-partisan and elected at large.  To be eligible for election as an officer of the Town, potential candidates must have been registered to vote at an address located within the Town boundaries for a minimum of 6 months prior to the date of the Town Meeting.

The meeting agenda is as follows:

1. Call to Order
2. Introduction and Overview of Election Procedure
3. Nomination and Confirmation of Qualifications
4. Voting
5. Tabulation and announcement of results
6. Adjournment

Following adjournment of the Special Town Meeting Election, the newly elected Town Board Trustees will hold its first meeting, which will have a separate notice and agenda.
