Editor's Notebook

It being the 60th anniversary of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” it is another reason making that show a must see.

The animated television show has already been on the tube, so if you missed it maybe YouTube could be an option for you and yours.

Then, of course, there are the old time favorite movies that are so much a part of the holiday season.

Here’s the list of my favorites. No. 1 “It’s a Wonderful Life.” I still get choked up to this day when George Bailey’s mouth starts bleeding and he finds Zuzu’s petals.

No. 2 “White Christmas.” Almost a No. 1A. Once again we still get a lump in our throats when General Thomas F. Waverly sees the troops that have gathered in Vermont.

No. 3 “Christmas Vacation.” A classic and one sure to make you chuckle.

No. 4 “Home Alone 2.” By far better than the original.

No. 5 “Die Hard” Sets the stage for sequels. No. 6 “Die Hard 2.” Here’s the rest of the best in my opinion  No. 7 “The Polar Express” No. 8 “The Santa Claus.”

No. 9 A Christmas Story No. 10 Scrooge No. 11 Scrooged No. 12 Miracle on 34th Street No. 13 Home Alone No. 14 “Elf”, No. 15  “While You Were Sleeping” and No. 16 “Lethal Weapon.”

A couple of the other Christmas TV shows that make the holidays complete are  “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”

I hope you all get to watch your favorite Christmas shows.

Merry Christmas!
