The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is hosting an open house meeting about proposed improvements to I-35 between Purcell and Goldsby.
The meeting is set for today (Thursday) from 5-7 p.m. at the Goldsby Community Building, 100 E. Center Rd.
The project is intended to improve safety and efficiently accommodate current and anticipated traffic volumes.
The proposed improvements include adding one driving lane in each direction of this area of I-35, widening shoulders, adding concrete barriers to separate northbound and southbound traffic, ramp improvements at Johnson Road and replacing or extending drainage structures.
ODOT will have the proposed project plans on hand and engineers will be available to answer questions.
