Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for a decision on a permanent three mill increase for the purpose of building a north Mid-America Technology Center campus.

Early voting begins today (Thursday), August 7, for voters who want to mark their decision in the MATC election.

Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on election day have the option of voting early at the McClain County Community Center, 1721 Hardcastle Blvd.

McClain County Election Board Secretary Karen Haley said early voting is open to all voters.

“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the county election board or state election board.

“This is a great option for those who will be out of town on election day or who want to avoid long lines.”

Early voting is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Community Center. Haley reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.
